At Best Buddies Dog Training, we offer tailored one-on-one lessons designed to meet the specific needs of you and your dog - all in the comfort of your own home. By training in your familiar environment, we can focus on the places where you and your dog walk , play, and interact.

Every dog is unique, with their own temperament, traits, and needs. Our approach allows us to assess and address behavioral issues for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to wise adult dogs, as well as provide foundational obedie nce training that suits your dog's individual personality.

Puppy Foundations

For puppies approximately 8 weeks to 6 months old

Puppy Foundations focus on building confidence, good habits, and strong communication from the very beginning. Early training helps prevent common behavior challenges and sets your puppy up for long-term success.

Common goals include:

  • Potty training support
  • Puppy biting and chewing
  • Socialization guidance
  • Basic cues and routines
  • Calm behavior at home

Puppy Foundations (3 sessions) - $375
Puppy Foundations Plus (6 sessions) - $690

Everyday Foundations

For adolescent and adult dogs

Everyday Foundations are designed for dogs who need help with everyday manners and reliable skills at home and in real-life situations. These sessions focus on clear communication, consistency, and building calm, polite behavior.

Common goals include:

  • Sit, down, stay
  • Loose leash walking
  • Jumping and impulse control
  • Place / settle
  • Focus around distractions

Everyday Foundations (3 sessions) - $385
Everyday Foundations Plus (6 sessions) - $715

Behavior Support

For dogs experiencing emotional or reactive behaviors

Behavior Support is designed for dogs struggling with behaviors such as reactivity, anxiety, or resource guarding. These sessions focus on understanding the root of the behavior, reducing stress, and building safer, more confident responses over time.

Common concerns addressed:

  • Reactivity to dogs, people, or environments
  • Resource guarding
  • Fear or anxiety-based behaviors
  • Overarousal or frustration

Behavior Support (3 sessions) - $450
Behavior Support Plus (6 sessions) - $840

Walk & Train Sessions

Walk & Train sessions are a structured training service — not a dog walking service. These sessions provide additional training and reinforcement between private lessons and help dogs practice skills in real-world environments.

Walk & Train sessions are handled by the trainer and include active training throughout the walk.

Walk & Train sessions focus on:

  • Leash manners and engagement
  • Calm behavior around distractions
  • Confidence building
  • Practicing skills through repetition

This service is ideal as an add-on to private training packages or for ongoing maintenance support.

Walk & Train Investment

Single Walk & Train Session: $75 (1 hour)
5-Session Walk & Train Package: $350

Walk & Train sessions are a training service that includes structured walks, active skill reinforcement, and real-world practice — not passive exercise.

Which Package Is Right for My Dog?

3-session packages are a good fit if:

  • You have specific goals you’d like help with
  • Your dog has some existing foundations
  • You’re comfortable practicing between sessions

6-session packages are recommended if:

  • You’re starting from the beginning
  • Your dog needs consistency and repetition
  • You want ongoing guidance and support

For behavior concerns, most dogs benefit from the structure and gradual progress provided by a 6-session package.
